The technique:

The tecnique of electroforming deposits a layer of metal on all kinds of elements, to create a total or partial coating, giving us the possibility to create three-dimensional shapes, hollow and light, that we can not achieve with other techniques. The application of this technique to jewelry and small sculptures opens up a huge field of creative possibilities.

What is the course?

We will learn how to use and configure a basic kit for electroforming jewelry and small sculptures.

The workshop:
The course will be divided into two 8-hour days to allow the electroforming process to proceed successfully.
The first day will be spent preparing the pieces, assembling the tank and preparing the solution.
The second day will consist of the realization of the pieces, the finishing of the final pieces and the analysis of what has worked better or not. We will also experiment with the technique of electrolytic etching, becuse it’s a possibility that also offered this technique.

You can bring anything you want to turn into metal (like organic objects, leaves,
branches, shells or plastics, or any non-ferrous material) everything is possible ....
Do not exceed 5 x 5 x 5 cm. And all organic materials must be well dry.
